I didn’t even realize anyone other than the Cup guys were running the Roval so this is an interesting surprise for me.

This is what I’m hoping for. NASCAR, for “stock cars” needs to up their game with some road coursey stuff. They can’t just do 2 road courses a year and a bazillion cookie cutter tri-ovals. Oh no they need Daytona, and then Daytona road course. Add in Sebring.

I played Rfactor quite a bit and the best part? You could put any car on any track you had. A cup car at LeMans without chicanes? Ma n it was wonderful and a great time. Totally suited for that track. They need more.

And the Xfinity guys are actually doing a good job at this, making the Cup guys look even more like a bunch of idiots.

It’s good times.  I’m watching and NASCAR isn’t my thing.  Good to see Lally running well. I hope he takes out any jackwagon who tries to spin him for a position.

The problem with the tracks is that a vast, vast majority of them are owned by one of two groups: International Speedway Corporation (essentially the France family/NASCAR itself) or Speedway Motorsports International (longtime France family rival Brut on Smith) and neither wants to give up any of their dates. Most of the road courses are owned by others, as are a couple of the ovals (Pocono and Dover, IIRC, are the only ones left).

If that doesn’t tell you how far the Brickyard 400 has fallen...
